Now Bluegrass Land Conservancy, the newly expanded service area spans the state’s two most populated metropolitan areas and covers the very best farmland in the region with 25,792 acres of natural and cultural resources already protected. This merger is a bold move to protect the Bluegrass Region for current and future generations, with a focus on prime farmland soils, scenic open space, water resources, natural areas. rural heritage, and, of course, agricultural viability.
